Patients can make a valuable contribution to their safety during their hospital stay and help to prevent mistakes and other unfortunate incidents. It can be assumed that the vast majority of patients are prepared and motivated to make an effort to ensure their own safety.
The Patient Safety Foundation has developed concrete treatment recommendations for outpatients. These recommendations have been compiled in a patients' brochure called 'Help prevent errors! Your safety in hospital'.
